Dear Friend:
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed so much for so many, but the bonds of our community remain strong.  We have all had difficult moments, but I’m proud of the way our neighbors have come together to support each other.  This year, the 19th Ward will be unable to host our annual cocktail reception at the Beverly Arts Center, but we remain hard at work providing services to Beverly, Morgan Park and Mount Greenwood.
In difficult times, our efforts to support each other are especially important. During the pandemic, the 19th Ward:
  • raised over $400,000 for struggling small businesses
  • hosted vaccine events for over 3,000 people
  • collected over $100,000 & 50,000lbs of food for local pantries
  • banned the sale of dangerous flavored vaping products
  • delivered over 3,000 meals to senior citizens
  • facilitated over 5,000 COVID tests at 16 local testing events
  • provided over 20,000 meals to first responders & medical workers
As we look forward to better days, I hope that you might support our ongoing work in the community.  Contributions can be made using the tool below.  I am thankful for your past generosity and especially appreciative of any consideration you can give during these difficult times.
